08 Jun Ahoy, Summer Kids Fiber Camp 2013!
We are thrilled to introduce our first ever summer fiber camp for kids. We’ve had such fun with our afterschool knitting and sewing clubs that we wanted to expand our offerings into summer. We’ve had a blast creating a fun and inspiring slate of morning camps for most July and August weeks (we even have camp for that hard to schedule last two weeks of August!). Here are the details:
THE CAMP: JP Knit & Stitch’s fiber camp is a weekly, morning camp from 9am – 12pm, Monday – Friday, held here in our shop. There are 8 sessions starting the week of July 8th. You can sign up for one or as many sessions as you like. Each week has a different fiber and craft focus: campers can choose from knitting, sewing, embroidery, and felting weeks. Campers can learn to knit their own tank top, design their own clothes, make felted soaps, and lots more. Our summer camps are designed to be Fun + Creative + Crafty.
THE CAMPERS: Campers should be aged 8 and above. Campers can attend the camp without any previous crafting experience.
THE TEACHERS: We are so excited about our line up of teachers. Along with weeks that are run by our wonderful long-term teachers, Allison Nevitt and Diane Ivey, we are thrilled to introduce new teachers to our roster. A number are Mass Art students or grads (we are so lucky to have the only public art school in the country located right down the street from us!) and all have lots of experience working with kids.
THE COST: Weekly cost is $225 and includes all materials.
