10 Apr Dolls for Zambia Workshops are coming up!
We are hosting three workshops in the next week to help knit Dolls for Zambia, our first charity project. A big thanks to Chris Kyle who ran our kickoff event in March (see the picture of her with her pile of adorable dolls). Chris volunteers with Communities Without Borders, who is sponsoring the trip to Zambia.
We will be knitting (or crocheting) Cuddle Dolls for both girls and boys who have next to nothing. Not only are these dolls quick and easy to make, this is a great way to use up your yarn stash and support a very worthy cause. We will provide the pattern and samples of the dolls will be available as inspiration. The dolls can be made at home or at these workshops at the store: Friday, April 13 from noon to 2 pm; Sunday, April 15 from 12:15 to 2:15 pm; Thursday, April 19 from 5 to 7 pm. Please see the links on the sidebar to rsvp (the workshops are free). The finished dolls will be collected by mid May and taken to Zambia in the early summer.
