Dolls for Zambia

Thanks to all who came out on Sunday for the launch of our Dolls for Zambia charity knitting project. We had a great turnout! Thanks especially to Chris Kyle for leading the workshop. We are so looking forward to seeing this project through to the goal…many lovely dolls for Zambian AIDS orphans. Remember, there are three more workshops scheduled through April.

The last of our special events for our birthday month is the wonderful workshops we have lined up with Kristin Nicholas. We are thrilled to welcome her this Friday for a slideshow and lecture on “The Joy of Color” and then for two exciting workshops on Saturday: The Edge of Color and Embellishing Knitwear. Kristin is a very inventive, accomplished knitter and embroidered and we feel very lucky to have her! Seats are filling up so reserve yours now. Check out her blog, Getting Stitched on the Farm, to read all about her life on her Western Mass farm where she raises sheep (yes, there are little tiny cute spring lambs featured…) and stitches her way through the seasons.
