Boston Farm & Fiber Festival
Starts: February 11, 2018 10:00 am
Join us for the first annual BOSTON FARM & FIBER FESTIVAL at the Boston Public Market on February 11, 2018. The Boston Farm & Fiber Festival is jointly organized by New England Farm to Fiber, an all natural, breed specific farm yarn company, and the Boston Public Market, a year round indoor farmer’s market. We are very grateful to the sponsors of the Festival, the Boston Public Market, The Trustees of Reservations, and Taproot Magazine.
The Festival will take place from 10 – 5pm in the Boston Public Market building in the heart of downtown Boston. The Boston Public Market hosts over 35 vendors offering a range of products – meat, fish, produce, prepared foods, and more – everything sold at the Market is produced in New England. The BPM is a public/private partnership whose mission is to support New England agricultural products. Read more about the BPM HERE.
THE BOSTON FARM & FIBER FESTIVAL will include 15+ farm yarn and natural dyeing vendors spread throughout the Market. Our mission is to celebrate the wonderful diversity and bounty of the New England farm fiber world. We are especially looking forward to bringing this aspect of New England farming – it’s gorgeous, wearable, warm farm fiber and farm crafts – to a wider audience. In addition to the fiber vendors, we are organizing a number of other events throughout the day, including a natural dyeing workshop with Tammy from Wing & A Prayer Farm in Vermont (registration is now open; spots are limited, sign up HERE); knitting lounge; spinning demos, a book signing, kids activities, and other fun farm fiber related events.
We are committed to curating a diverse range of vendors to showcase the beauty, tradition, depth, and vitality of the New England farm fiber and crafting community. The vendor application is now closed. If you’re interested in vending at the festival, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to get on our waitlist.
