Intimidated by knitting a sweater? Don’t be! We’ve picked a easy to wear elegant sweater that you won’t want to take off. The Lesley Sweater by Hannah Fetig is a seamless sweater knit from the top down. This great pattern uses short rows to get that perfect fit and a loose Aran weight yarn for fast knitting.
This is the perfect class if you’ve knit a scarf and hat, but you want to grow your skills by knitting your very first sweater.
The class will meet for two Sundays in a row to get you started, and then every other Sunday for three more sessions. Be ready to do some knitting between classes, and come out with a finished sweater!
Important Pre-Class Homework:
To get ready for the first class, you’ll need to select your sweater yarn and knit and block your swatch.
For yarn for your sweater, we recommend a, Aran Weight. For instance: Cestari 2Ply Worsted. You can come into the shop for hands-on help with a staff member, who can help you select the proper yarn and needle size.
You can find additional help for knitting your own swatch from this article.
Come to class ready to knit with your swatch, sweater yarn, pattern, and needles.
