Whether you’ve never knit before or would like to learn advanced techniques, this class will help you to become a confident knitter. Beginners will learn how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, and use a combination of stitches. More advanced knitters will be encouraged to challenge themselves with cables and other knitting skills with expert guidance.
Beginning knitters start with the fundamentals by making a garter stitch scarf or fingerless gloves and can progress to hats or a cowl as time allows.
- 2 skeins of Quince Osprey for a scarf/1 skein for fingerless gloves
- 1 set of size 10 straight needles
- Tapestry needle
- Knit: First Stitch/First Scarf–a lovely book from Quince & Co. that includes everything you need to know about knitting basics + beginner patterns we will use in class. It also makes a great resource to refer back to once class is out!
