In this class we will learn how to knit top-down socks! Together we will learn cast-ons and bind-offs/grafting, how to measure and fit socks properly, how to turn a heel, how to choose sock yarn, and we’ll discuss the different methods of sock knitting (toe-up, top-down, two-at-a-time, magic loop, short row heel, &c.) We will have a few basic sock patterns to work from for your first pair of socks; however, if you have a sock pattern that you have been dying to try,
email it to us before class starts and we will work with you on that pattern instead. We will finish one sock in class, and give you all the information and encouragement you need to finish the second one at home.
