12 Sep Greater Boston Yarn Crawl
Update: We’ve posted details of our fabulous events this weekend: Lady Dye on Friday, Knit Collage on Saturday, and Cephalopod Yarns on Sunday. And stop by the shop to scope out the fabulous raffle prizes we’ll be giving away. You just have to see these yarns in person!
We are so excited to be hosting knitters from near and far for our THIRD year with the Greater Boston Yarn Crawl, OCTOBER 3-5. Thanks go out to Black Sheep Knitting in Needham for stepping up to organize again this year. We really love meeting knitters from outside our usual community; it’s such fun to see what people are making in the Greater Boston Area.
This year our theme is INDIE YARN COMPANIES. We are inspired by these three woman-owned businesses and what they were able to create from their love of yarn. First up is our very own uber-local Diane Ivey from Lady Dye Fibers on Friday, October 4th. She’ll be showing off her hand-dyed yarn, patterns, and samples. Saturday we will welcome the wonderful Amy, founder and creative director of KnitCollage. She will be sitting and spinning her magic for us and showing off her amazing + unique yarns. Sunday we are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting the first ever Northeast appearance of Cephalopod Yarns (fromerly one half of Sanguine Gryphon Yarns). Sarah will be to show off (and sell!) a special assortment of her vibrant, hand dyed yarn in a variety of weights, including the beloved sock yarn, Bugga!
We will be giving away a FREE never before published Cowl pattern by Susan Sheby and other surprises (champagne? mini cupcakes? …)
