16 Feb Housekeeping (of the crafty variety)
Our very first order of business is…our 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY in March!!! Yes, we can’t believe it either. We have lots of great events planned which we’ll be sharing soon, but in the meantime, Mark Your Calendars! Birthday celebrations will kick off on Sunday, March 4th, with a store-wide 25% off ALL Yarn + Fabric Sale. Stay tuned for lots more details in the next few days.
Those of you who received our January email newsletter know that one of our 2012 resolutions here at JPK&S was to learn how to TWEET…well, I am happy to say that we are now officially chirping away. If you’re a Twitter-er, please consider following us here. I am already addicted to the format since it’s so, so easy and lets us update our customers with last minute class openings, happenings at the shop, and new inventory…
Which brings me to: NEW INVENTORY is arriving every day! Bright red and scarlet Flounce is in; a huge Shipment of Malabrigo just arrived (glorious color ways in Rasta, Worsted, and Sock) and is already flying out the door; size 19 Addi Turbos (for those great loopy cowls); Anna Maria Horner soft + lovely flannels from the Loulouthi collection….with more balls of yarn and bolts of fabric and supplies arriving daily so check back often.
We have just set up a Flickr Group for JP Knit & Stitch and we are encouraging all of our fabulous and crafty customers to join our Flickr POOL. We want to take the community we’ve built in the shop online and this is really a great way to do it. This will not replace our popular Projects page; it will just make it easier for people to share ideas and provide an additional forum for creative exchange (and a pool for me to find great projects to highlight on out website!).
Finally, we now have an account with Ravelry so we are able to print and sell Ravelry patterns in the shop. This has been in the works for months and we are so excited that it is now a reality. You can refine your search for any particular pattern by clicking on the “pattern available in store” button on the top left of the page. Ravelry is such a great resource that we’re thrilled to be able to go to the next level with them.
Whew! That’s a lot. Thanks for reading (if you’ve gotten this far) and don’t forget to stay tuned for all the fun we have planned for the Merry Month of March!
