Lynn Salmonsen

Lynn Salmonsen hails from a long line of knitters, seamstresses and tailors.  Her mother first taught her to knit when she was 7 years old, again at age 12, once more at 16 and one last time at age 22 when she left Connecticut to come to Boston for graduate school.  Finally, she got it!! (And then only after her mother ripped out and reknit her first attempt without telling her one weekend when she was home for a visit.)  Since then, she has been knitting nonstop, making sweaters, scarves, hats and mittens for anyone who will wear them.

When she’s not knitting, Lynn is a musician, playing piano for choruses and in chamber music ensembles. She is the organist and choir director at a church in Milton and teaches piano in Quincy and Hingham.
