Susan Gibbs gave up a prestigious position in TV to become a shepherd and set up Juniper Moon Farm yarns. Nestled in the rolling hills of central Virginia, she raises sheep and Angora goats, and turns their fleece into gorgeous yarn. She also sources yarn from Peru, Argentina, Nepal and Italy.
A wonderful mix of 60% cotton and 40% linen, Zooey from Juniper Moon Farm has a soft, slightly thick and thin texture, which softens up considerably after washing (and it is machine washable!). Both linen and cotton are cool fibers, so this yarn is perfect for warmer weather garments knitted on 3.25 – 3.75mm needles. Available in a range of subtle earth-tone shades and bright colors.
