A new year brings new ideas, new teachers, new techniques, new inspiration. We are full of new-ness here at JP Knit & Stitch. We’d like to welcome three new teachers to our rooster: Stephanie (whom some of you may know from working in the shop since we opened almost two years ago), joins us as a teacher and we couldn’t be more thrilled that she’s made the leap. She is teaching our 1 Day: Learn to Sew! Crash Course, our Beginning Quilting Techniques class, AND our Beginning Crochet (yes, friends, she does it all!). We also welcome Lynne Salmonsen to our rooster with her Winter Cowl Workshop (the 1st one in January filled up with a wiatlist so we added another) as well as a NEW Cable Knits and Legwarmers Workshop . And we are so happy to welcome Ashley Rao to team JP Knit & Stitch. Ashley is teaching our very first sweater class, the Custom Fit Yoke Sweater. Ashley comes to us from the world of knitting pattern design so we feel like we are in very good hands!
Along with new teachers we are also adding lots of new classes. Taylor is teaching a fun, 1 day workshop in Liesl’s (of Oliver + S fame) recently published Woodland Stroll Cape Pattern for you sewists out there and Alexis has taken on our Beginning Sewing Tote and Zippered Pouch class. Kelly will be teaching knitting Continental style in our NEW Saturday morning Beginning Knitting class. These join our February continuing classes with the wonderful Allison, Diane, and Nancy. We hope everyone is staying warm with noses buried in cozy winter cowls. I know I am thanking Rasta + the stockinette stitch for keeping my kids warm these past few cold and wintery days….perfect weather for knitting!
