Willow Tank + Dress - 2019

Beginners and all are welcome to this short and fun class, where you'll learn and practice basic techniques including sewing a straight seam, darts, hemming and applying bias facing. Willow is a pattern you'll want to make in several different fabrics, a great way to highlight a favorite print or create a basic bottom layer.  It is fitted at the shoulders then falls into a timeless flattering shape below the bust.  A beautiful spring into summer staple tank or dress, this is a simple yet classic staple for your wardrobe!

Date: June 13 & 20, 6-8pm 

What is Needed:
  • Grainline Studio Willow Tank & Dress Pattern
  • Appropriate amount of fabric (see sizing on pattern) - Suggestions: Light to medium weight fabrics such as cotton, linen, silk, crepe de chine, charmeuse, voile, chambray, etc. Extra fabric may be needed to match plaids, stripes, or one-way print designs
  • coordinating thread
  • sewing supplies: tracing paper, pencil, pins, fabric scissors, tailor's chalk or disappearing pen, cloth measuring tape, etc
